MY WORK AT THIS PROJECT
No Licence (created for a single client).
This was a very special project I was honored to be part of while working at Risk Office. It started as a demand from one of the company's consultant, Christian Bresci, to design the framework for the company's Corporate Department. This project involved identifying the problems faced by the department, understanding the circumstances of the problems, brainstorming possible solutions and prototyping a framework to guide the department's consultants.
Identifying the problems
First drafts created during the brainstorming sessions.
It all started with some brainstorm sessions. My job was to understand the Corporate Department needs: what was their work, what were their goals, what were the main difficulties they had to overcome. Using design thinking methodology and knowledge manager concepts, I guided the brainstorm sessions by making key questions and promoting discussion between team members that were welcome to join and contribute to our dynamic.
Understanding the problems
Brainstorming sessions and the business model canvas in use
For several weeks, we worked extra hours committed to understanding the problems lying within the present structure of the department. After various brainstorming sessions, and using the business model canvas to guide us, we came to understand that if we could re-design the department's framework we could optimize the company's assets and diminish the stated problems.
Brainstorming possible solutions
The department's two different business models
The team realised that the company's department had acctually two different business models running. We started to distinguish those two business models through an iteration process.
We also synthesised the concepts using visual thinking. At this point, my main work was to represent key concepts with simple illustrations and information design.
Our business model proposal: the product model
The prototype we created to present to the company's board of directors was basically two synthesis: the new business model for the department and a short animated video.
The animated short video
Unfortunately, this project did not have the ending I was hoping to see. The company soon enough has passed through some major internal changes within its structure and the "Framework Project" was postponed. Even though I left the company before I could see this project running, being part of this intense process, was an amazing experience.
